Sudoku

I learned yesterday that there is a new craze sweeping the world. The game sudoku is a puzzle that involves boxes and numbers. Some of the numbers are already filled in for you, but you have to fill in the rest yourself. The kicker is, there is only one solution so you have to know exactly how to fill in the numbers. If you want the rules and stuff you can click on the link and see them for yourself. http://www.sudoku.com/ I hope you all can find this game as intriguing and fun as I did. Peace!

Shopping Spree

Today is my parents' 26th anniversary. My wife and I therefore decided we were going to buy them a gift since today is supposed to be the biggest shopping day of the year. It sounds pretty crazy, but they really needed a new phone for their house and we figured today would be the best day to go out and buy it.

Now allow me to back track. Last night, after three, yes count em, three amazing Thanksgiving dinners, we went out with another couple to see the movie Rent. It was pretty good. The movie let out at around 2:00 a.m. so we decided we would swing by the local Best Buy to see what the line looked like. It was totally out of control. It was at that time that I decided I would not go to the store at 5:00 a.m. as I had originally intended. I remembered that someone had once told me they only let a certian amount of people in the store at one time for safety reasons. Therefore, had I actually gone at 5:00, I would have waited outside the store forever in the cold anyways.

So we decided we would go later in the day, and we still were able to get whatever we wanted. We bought my parents a really nice phone system, and they love it. We also got ourselves itrips for our ipods so now we can listen to them in the car. We felt it was productive outing.

The one thing we couldn't believe, though, was how many people were at the store. It was out of control. I realize Best Buy is a great store, but the number of people was insane. It was very hard to get someone o help you if you had a question, and it was chaos to wait in line to pay. However, I do want to give kudos to Best Buy; they were well stocked and tried there best to move things along in an orderly fashion.

One word of advice though. When it was time to check out, the lines were longer than you can ever imagine. Picture waiting in line for a ride at Disney World and then you might understand. However, my wife and I decided to pay at the counter over by the cell phones. The guy in line was finishing as we walked up, we paid, and we were out the door. We didn't even wait a minute to pay. If you ever find yourselves in a situation like this, use this advice, it will help you.

Peace for now,
Daniel

My sister

Hey guys, check out this article from the Jerusalem post. If any of you know my family, you may recognize the girl in the picture. Jpost Article

Roy Williams

I was just watching the Fox NFL Sunday Pregame Show and they had an interview with Roy Williams. Terry Bradshaw asked him what his favorite childhood memory was. Roy responded that when he was about 5 or 6, his family used to go camping and fishing. One year his father had bought him a Snoopy fishing pole and he lost it in the water. To this day he has not seen his Snoopy pole again.

Well Roy, I am with you brother. When I was about 8 years old, my parents took my family and I to Charlevoix for a fishing trip. I was surprised when I arrived to learn he too had bought me an orange Snoopy fishing pole. Unfortunately, however, on that trip, the pole was broken and never used again.

I was surprised this morning to learn that Roy and I had such an amazing connection. May you catch many touchdowns today Roy; you are on my fantasy team.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

So I am sitting at my friends' house one night and they are telling my wife and I all about their blog. I am listening with such enthusiasm as I am amazed as to how easy it is to get your story out for the world to see. After a few minutes of pondering, I decide I am going to start a blog of my own.
